Easter Warm-Ups

I love Easter! It's just almost equal to Christmas in my mind. I love the beginning of Spring and what the holiday means. I especially love having children to only further my enjoyment of the holiday. On Monday, Haley had the first of three easter egg hunts for Violet. It was so fun! And Violet loves playing with her friends.

Then on Tuesday night we colored Easter Eggs. We had a little Family Night Easter lesson and Violet told us all about Jesus' nailprints in his hands and how his friends were all very sad when he died. But he came out of the tomb and the angel said "He is not here, for He is Risen." Seriously, Violet has the best Sunbeams teachers ever! She knew all of the answers and I've never really talked to her before about the Resurrection. We then had fun dyeing the eggs.

Scotty the Musician

One of Scotty's favorite toys is daddy's guitar. This morning as he was playing it (he picks at the strings and strums a bit) he pulled it down onto himself. Note: this isn't the first time he's done that. He's never hurt himself with it before and he keeps going back no matter how many times he falls. Anyway, he pulled it onto himself and now has the fret marks on his forehead. . .

Scotty is One. It's Amazing.

We planned a kick-butt robot party for Scotty's birthday. He didn't notice much of it, but of course, loved the balloons and the cupcakes! We love Meesto Scotty-Man and have taken to calling him Scotty-bot in the last week. He is a darling one year old. He is trying so hard to walk and being mostly cute all the time.

Scott's Birthday Invitation

This was the invitation I created for Scotty's family birthday party.
