Violet's First Halloween

So before we knew whether we were having a boy or a girl, we knew we were having a panda. We had the best halloween ever. I usually hate the holiday, but that was before Violet.

Sleeping Like a Baby

I always say that I have a really weird baby and people want to know why. I usually can't figure out an answer--she is just so quirky. Besides the fact that I think she is the best thing in the whole world, I love love love her little personality. I finally found an example of her weirdness and it comes in her sleeping habits. I guess I have a little fixation for taking pictures of her while she is asleep, because I've found her doing so many cute/weird things while she was sleeping. Check it out.

A little explanation. She is pretty dramatic (Zach thinks I am too) and so when I saw her hand on her forehead while she was sleeping I thought it was a perfect example of how passionate she feels! I found her sucking her thumb while she was sleeping once and she basically never did it again. She snuggled up to Pandy. Once I put clean fresh out of the dryer laundry on her and she fell asleep. She can bend her body in unbelievable ways.

Our Summer in Review: Part Two

I know it's been a little while since my last post, but let me tell you about the rest of our summer.

After Cheer Camp, we went to Bear Lake with the Wily Family. This is becoming an annual tradition and it is so much fun. This time we had a boat and we put Violet in the smallest life vest we could find. I'll try to get this picture from my parents-in-law. It is so cute. Violet has really loved the water this summer.

We took swimming lessons with Cohen, Cash, and Warren (sometimes). It was a little bit too cold for Violet on a couple of the days, but she was really cute in her swimsuit.

The highlight of my summer was seeing Richard Marx in concert! Honestly, Zach and I decided to go kind of as a joke because he was so popular in the 80s. But the concert was packed and Richard Marx was awesome. He is so cool and he doesn't take himself very seriously. We were on the front row and had so much fun. I really can't believe how much fun I had. Here is an up close and personal shot of Richard Marx. (He is super short)

Finally, to end the summer, we went to Vegas with my side of the family. I don't know what we were thinking, cause it was so ridiculously hot. Zach and I went and saw Phantom of the Opera, and I went with my sisters and dad to see Celine Dion. Celine was awesome--it was so good. Zach talked me into going to Hoover Dam, which was actually pretty cool. We also ate at a lot of great places including The Cheesecake Factory and the Bellagio Buffet.

It was surely a crazy summer. Being a mom makes every little thing more fun. The fourth of July was more fun than usual, the fireworks were magical. Getting in the water seems so much more exciting. Riding in a boat is a new thrill. My outlook on life is so much more positive with Violet around. Love you all.
