Scotty is One. It's Amazing.

We planned a kick-butt robot party for Scotty's birthday. He didn't notice much of it, but of course, loved the balloons and the cupcakes! We love Meesto Scotty-Man and have taken to calling him Scotty-bot in the last week. He is a darling one year old. He is trying so hard to walk and being mostly cute all the time.

Scott's Birthday Invitation

This was the invitation I created for Scotty's family birthday party.

Violet sang as she walked and walked and walked. . .

Violet is a sunbeam! She went to her first ever primary party and they learned about pioneers. From what I understand, they walked from room to room in the church building with each room having a different obstacle a pioneer would have to face ie. rain, snow, mud, etc. Violet needed a bonnet, so I made one. I kind of love it and want her to wear it all the time.

Snow White & Dopey

So far, Violet has had very little interest in princesses. Grandma has a Snow White book though, and Violet likes it. She can name 5 of the 7 dwarves (sorry Grumpy and Bashful, you are forgettable). Violet's BFF/Cousin Emma had a beautiful princess party and Violet got to be Snow White. I got crafty and made Scotty a Dopey costume which he hated, of course, and only wore about 5 minutes. But hey, long enough for a picture and the costume didn't take me more than an hour to make.

Bowling

Violet had her first experience bowling and she loved it. She loved how the ball would come right back to you through the machine. Thank heaven for the little bowling contraption. She could barely lift the lightest ball they had. She broke a 100 both games too.






Did I mention that Scotty had a great time too?

Violet's Birthday #2

We had another birthday party for Violet with her cousins and family. Of course, it was Mickey Mouse themed. Here is the invitation:


I made a mickey mouse cake (yes, I made that!) I'm very proud of myself though it was so much harder than I thought!!! We had costco hot dogs (Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggity-Dog) and I let Violet wear her minnie mouse costume from Halloween. She had lots of fun and we're so grateful for everyone who helped her feel special on her birthday.
